This painting was done to commemorate the arts and artists of the early to mid 20th century whose work has transported generations to another reality.

The title includes the address Greenwich Ave. and 7th Ave. which might be the location of the diner that appears in the 1942 painting by Hopper. The red brick building in the back ground still stands, but the diner disappeared long ago. There is a triangular concrete patch in the park that marks where the diner would have been. This location was walking distance from Hopper's apartment on Greenwich Ave.
