This is a very attractive 26-piece Porcelain dining set. It arrived complete and undamaged, very well protected in multiple layers of thick cardboard in an otherwise rather plain and unattractive box.

The main selling points of this set has to be the striking and unusual design coupled with the build quality and up market feel it brings to the table.

There are six place settings consisting of a dinner plate, side plate, cereal bowl and side bowl together with two large serving platters. This elegant dining set is designed for formal use, perfect for dinner parties or special meals. The set is one of several in the Flora range from Malacasa and follows the same angular design. This is the sort of set used in high-end restaurants when serving nouvelle cuisine.

However, this is also proper traditional glazed stoneware, the crockery is heavy and substantial and like all stoneware may chip or break although the set is claimed to be chip and scratch resistant. The stoneware certainly does feel heavy, well made and made to last. As you would expect the set is fully safe in the microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.

This is not the sort of crockery to eat from on your lap in front of the TV. Not only is it too good for that, but it would also not be practical as the plates are unlipped and not best suited for use off a flat and level surface.

The current price of £79.99 before discounts makes this an attractive buy for those looking for a more unusual high quality formal tableware set.
