Balloon may be China testing U.S. defenses: analyst

The United States said on Monday (February 13) it still does not know the origin or purpose of three aerial objects that its military shot down over the weekend, following the downing of a suspected Chinese spy balloon on Feb. 4. An analyst who spoke to Reuters speculated that the balloon may have been a “brazen” attempt by China to test U.S. military defenses.
