Backyard Of Death Wrestling Fatalities
This is the third installment in my "Of Death" series (see Benchpress of Death and Smith Machine of Death). In this video I decided to investigate backyard wrestling. As a kid I grew up participating in unofficial wrestling and boxing matches. Backyard wrestling was at its peak in popularity during the years of the Attitude era, the late 90s to the early 00s. It was often the focus of media hype and sensationalism due to its dangerous and potentially deadly nature. However was the hype and demonization deserved? Or perhaps the truth is "official" and organized school sports for youth are just as dangerous when it comes to serious injury and fatality. I also examine the importance of letting boys be boys rather than trying to insulate them from any potential risk.
