20230213 Why Exercise? Do it for You, Part 2 (Rec. 20220811)
In August I was thinking about why I am getting back in shape, why I exercise daily, why I'm pushing myself to be better. Most of the time the answer is, "For my family." The topic got too large for a single video. This is part 2, part one is over here:
I exercise to keep up with my kids, for health, to be strong and healthy, to make sure I stay fit and healthy enough, to last as long as they need me.
But, sometimes you just need to do it for you, so I do. I love self reliance, and being strong and fit plays into that. I can go out for a hard day's play, fully confident that I will come home safely.
I also like to go out alone, and if I can't do it all myself, I can't go alone. Staying strong and fit allows me the luxury of doing it alone.
Wifey bought a stand up paddleboard. She also stays fit so she can go out solo on her SUP.
Exercise, do it for you family, yes, but do it for you, too.
