Danger Close - Standing on a Mountain During an Electrical Storm

In this rather unusual audio capture, we are standing near Chacaltaya mountain in Bolivia, in close vicinity of a powerful electrical storm. Static electricity builds up in the surrounding air, interfering with the microphones for a time, which is then released as lightning strikes, creating a tremendous thunderclap.
