Mikhail Gorbachev Slams US In Speech on NATO Expansion #shorts

The former leader of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev is amongst the most pivotal politicians of our century. Here he is back in 1997 speaking to a room full of US politicians and media about the expansion of NATO in Europe- Gorbachev goes on to talk about how they should not assume a country (Russia) can be humiliated without any kind of retaliation.

Remembered as the man who brought the Russians out of Communist control into a more liberal and open society. Unfortunately for many Russians, this did not have a positive effect. As while many became exceedingly rich, the vast majority of Russians to this day still live in relative poverty.
