Faith is believing in God and trusting God; that he will provide for you, and will guide you in decision-making, and will one day bring you to live with Him in a place called heaven. Our salvation comes by faith. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God" Ephesians 2:8.
