There are over 20,000 results on Amazon for the search "how to get rich" and hundreds of people selling books and courses on how easy it is. There are almost 30,000 searches a month on Google, every month for "how to become a millionaire" And people want to believe there is some magical system. Always searching for new ways, better schemes, another course but wealth, for the vast majority of people buying these courses, never happens. Could it be possible there is actually no predictably reliable easy way to become rich? No secrets, systems, or special coins?
Studies show that less successful peoples brains are actually hardwired to seek short term gain, while successful people set long term, realistic goals. They avoid get rich quick schemes and focus on long term strategy. Do you think Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos or any business innovator ever searched online for "how to become a millionaire". Truly successful people focus on innovation, market trends, economics, and adding value, while unsuccessful people search for the quickest ways to fill their own pockets. Thats selfish right?
If you want to actually become successful, focus on what value you can provide to people, do not focus on how you can get rich. Its not about you - Wealth happens as a side effect of providing more value than your competition. We'll look at how you can provide more value in a future video.
But most people want to drink the Kool aid. Videos with Lambos, pools and parties are more fun to watch than reading actual dry financial information or following a disciplined wealth building strategy.
But when you do decide to stop trying to become a millionaire overnight, stop looking for secrets and shortcuts and start actually building your blog, your business, writing your book, whatever you do, how long does it take in real life to actually reach millionaire status?

This is data from Thomas Corley writing for the Business Insider. Tom studies the wealthy and he is the author of "Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals,"

According to Toms research this is how long it actually takes people in real life to become a millionaire:

1% of millionaires did it before the age of 40. So only one out of 100 millionaires get there before 40 3% between age 40 and 45 - 16% between age 46 and 50 28% between age 51 and 55 31% between age 56 and 60 - 21% after the age of 60. So more than half of millionaires didn't get there until after age 56!! It takes most self-made millionaire at least 32 years, in the real world, to get rich.

Only 4% of millionaires became wealthy in less than 27 years.

Warren Buffet didn't even begin to realize his monetary potential until well into his 60's and 70's. Look at him here even at age 52 he was just starting to grow his wealth.

Now can you become a millionaire sooner? Absolutely and we should always work towards the fastest way possible. But who do you think is more likely to become a millionaire someone who does not look at all the factors involved, doesn't consider the statistics, the challenges, the obstacles, the realities, and gives up in 6 months to join another get rich quick scheme, or someone who uses hard data, and sticks with logic to guide their decisions? If we are indeed serious we can use statistics to calibrate our journey and to plan accordingly.

Now the good news. As of the making of this video this is the best time in history to become a millionaire. There are over 13 million millionaires in the USA, the highest number ever throughout history. So while that percentage of millionaires in relation to the entire population is small, the economic climate today is very receptive to becoming a millionaire.

If you focus on saving money, building your business, investing wisely, systematically expanding your wealth, with an actual plan, wealth will always follow.
If you keep chasing ridiculous systems to try and circumvent these realities, you will stay within the masses that keep spinning their wheels, year after year with minimal results.

You can become a millionaire in so many ways - a successful blog, an online business, drop shipping, consulting, real estate, just pick something, get really good at it, innovate and stick with it.

Is cognitive dissonance preventing you from becoming wealthy?
