Finding Thomsonite | A Minnesota Treasure | A Rare Zeolite

As we head up the North Shore of Minnesota, we are in search of a very rare zeolite called Thomsonite. Typically, I rockhound for other minerals like Lake Superior agates, jasper, prehnite, etc., and have had a lot of experience in finding those minerals! This adventure where we are in search of Thomsonite, is my first official hunt for this beautiful treasure. We had some great luck but I can say I am not completely satisfied and even though we found some gorgeous treasures, I plan to go back and find more!
