It seems fitting that on Super Bowl Sunday, when so much focus is always given to how both teams got to where they are now -playing for their shot at a championship and the chance to add their names to the history books- that I reflect on my own fitness journey to see where I got to where I am now; a physique transformation 10 years in the making.

I’ve talked before about how important it is to have perspective. When I got started, I just wanted to have some abs and some muscle. Eventually though, that wasn’t enough. Having just a “good” physique was no longer good enough for me anymore.

It’s easy to get discouraged with your progress, complacent with your results. Never forget to look back at where you started, what you wanted in the beginning. Often you’ll realize that who you were then would have killed to be who you are now.

Now go crack open a beer, grab some wings and enjoy the game 😎🍻🏈🏟️
