Gov. Gretchen Whitmer speaks on new democratic Michigan majority

Michigan democrats have unified control of the state’s government for the first time in four decades. When asked what her top priorities are, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said she is moving fast to deliver on campaign promises.

“In the first month, I signed a billion dollars supplemental to do everything from affordable housing to meeting our kids' needs, to expanding workforce opportunities,” she said of the accomplishments democrats have already achieved so far.
