Construction not corruption!

I have worked in construction for over 20 years,
I’d like to make one thing perfectly clear.

The standards of building have gone straight to shit,
Your beloved government isn’t protecting you a bit.

The utter corruption that runs this entire industry,
Has turned so called progress into a calamity.

They cut corners at every turn, they rush at breakneck speed,
There is not a single rule left they do not cheat.

These bastions of greed should be held accountable,
They should be forced to be responsible.

Builders & developers had to pay the city some fees,
Before they erected their towers of greed.
But with a wave of the premier’s demonic wand,
Just like that the rule is gone.

Now who do you suppose will cover the cost,
To replace the billions of dollars our cities will have lost?

You understand you can’t keep adding people and buildings,
Without an infrastructure to keep cities from crumbling?

You understand that money meant to sustain the city and its people,
Went into the pockets of the devils orchestrating this evil.

If we don’t stop the premier and his populous sect,
There simply isn’t going to be an Ontario left.
