This trough will deepen and interact with a broadening warm sector over the Great Lakes Region and areas southward. Directional and speed shear in place will fuel thunderstorm development, with severe weather potential showing better likelihood in the Southern Great Lakes. Some models hint at severe potential as far north as southern Michigan, while heavy snow falls in the northern half of the state.
