Tattooing a Large Japanese Crane Backpiece - Session 1

Here is session one on a large scale Japanese style backpiece of a Red Crowned "Japanese" Crane. Japanese Cranes are known as a symbol of luck, longevity, and fidelity and are said to live for a 1000 years.

My client sat for about 5 hrs on this piece. It is our first session to establish the outline of the piece. I Do a quick light outline to commit the stencil to the skin then bold up all necessary lines to add definition and interest to the linework.

I'm very happy with how this piece is coming out, and cant wait to get the next session started.
