Perfecting an Agate by Polishing it on my Flat Lap

In this lapidary video we are turning a cut agate into a polished gemstone with our flat lap. The story is: we found a peeler agate nodule in a gravel pit, cut that agate on our 10" lapidary saw, then with our dopping station, dopped it and turned that beautiful gemstone into a lollipop! Not really, but it is on a stick, which made polishing this Lake Superior agate extremely easy. This is hands down the best polishes I've given a stone, I am happy we are getting very close to a nearly perfect polish! Thanks for watching and check out some more of our videos below!

Thanks for watching this lapidary polishing video. I always enjoy taking the treasures we find from our rockhounding adventures from the Lake Superior and taking them throught he lapidary process. We polished this agate, which is the state gemstone of Minnesota, on our flat lap, which has been a great piece of lapidary equipment. I also used a dopping stick, dopping wax from our dopping station to really create a beautiful and amazing polish on this stone!
