Several studies have already pointed out the benefits of the sounds of nature in relation to human well-being. Specifically, research, carried out by the University of Exeter, showed that its participants had positive therapeutic effects when listening to sounds of nature, such as rain falling or birds chirping.

These people showed an increased potential to recover from feelings of stress and mental fatigue. For scholars, these results were stronger when the person had some kind of memory related to the sounds of nature. The use of tracks that did not contain sounds of nature, however, did not show any significant benefit in the patients' well-being.

Another study, published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, revealed that its volunteers not only experienced stress relief, but also felt a reduction in body pain symptoms. According to research, water sounds would be more effective in well-being, while bird sounds help reduce stress.
