Whirlpools, floods and BIG waves all in a days launch Umzimkulu Feb 23

Yeah well this launch takes the cake this 2023 season so far. Just trying to hold on made camera work a sheer impossibility. All the footage featured was put through a warp stabilizer during the edit. Which took two days to iron out into something almost useable.

These are inclement conditions. And we only went out to sea because for like 4 days, since the first couta video, we just couldn't get out there. The blue blue water has moved right in against the brown flood water, and the halocline has been really hot lately. But on this day, the wind, big waves and current were not in harmony with eachother. And, there was another problem...

29 Degree water! Duarte (https://fishbazaruto.com) won't even fish if it's like that! The fish get so lazy. They hardly move! My Dad says this is the hottest/warmest water he as ever seen in 40 plus years of fishing here.

We have Bulelani Saunders here, from the Transkei, doing his fishing guide course and man is he getting a baptism of fire. He actually thinks this is all just normal! Crazy launches. Wild seas. Couta!
