Ear worms are funny things... they just won't get out of your head... and apparently the Mayor had a doozy of one when he concocted today's Segue City Special. So, he goes with a song that has stood the test of time, from 1946, and been copied a gazillion times by famous and not so famous artists. This version starts with Skitch Henderson and his Orchestra then swings into Tex Beneke and the Glenn Miller Orchestra, over to the Chairman of the Board - Frank Sinatra, then flows on with Connie Haines before we shift to a more current version with the Outlaws and round it off with Blue live. Hopefully the eye worm is happy now and gone...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
