Survivors of Türkiye’s disastrous quake take refuge in temporary shelters

The confirmed death toll from the devastating earthquake that rocked Türkiye and Syria has now crossed the grim benchmark of 24,000 and, while Turkish search-and-rescue workers remain diligent, the focus has turned to assisting survivors who are in desperate need of food and shelter.
