Emerson, Lake & Palmer Trilogy [1972]

Emerson, Lake & Palmer released their 3rd studio album Trilogy in July of 1972. Such a wonderful album - situated right in between Tarkus and Brain Salad Surgery and featuring all of the magic of Emerson, Lake & Palmer - virtuosity, aggression, exquisite songmanship, and absolute rock 'n roll excitement.

In some ways this album feels the most accessible effort from the group, with more individual songs vs. long album side suites. It's got some gorgeous moments - from the serene and hypnotic "From the Beginning" to the super-charged title track. Always so much fun to listen to, you just don't want to stop.

It's a fascinating album, from an exceptional group - ELP never fails to impress!
