Breathing in Congregational Singing

One of the most important acts of worship is the singing of congregational hymns. But often the meat of the hymns, the text, takes a backseat to the music. In many churches today the singing of hymns has an almost hypnotic, mood-changing purpose rather than a healthy focus on content. We’ll talk about the importance of breathing between verses of a hymn as a way of reinforcing the text of a hymn.
