Chili Mac is just one of those warm comforting meals that you can easily whip up on a weeknight, and everyone just loves it! And plus it combines 2 of my favs chili and pasta!

Chili Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
8 oz dry pasta (1/2 box), cook according to package*
1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions
Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat and brown ground beef, about 4 minutes. Drain excess liquid.
Add a little more oil, onions, bell peppers and garlic. Season with salt and pepper and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
Stir in chili powder and cumin.
Stir in canned crushed tomatoes and chicken broth. Season well with salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Lower heat and let simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
Stir in cooked pasta and 1 cup of cheese. Top with remaining 1 cup cheese. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes, until cheese has melted.

Note
*Traditionally elbow pasta is used but I used shells in the video.
