Ford Truck Won't Power Trailer

If you've hooked up to a trailer and then found there is no power to the inside lights, or maybe the 12v accessory line, then there may be a simple solution. On the Ford trucks with keyless entry the key must be in the truck to power that leg to the trailer. I seem to forget this every time I pickup my trailer and the key is in my pocket. lol. There has to be a fix to this.
