State’s Attorney Kim Foxx Frames Black Police Officer to Advance Career, Bankrupt Chicago | Ep 376

In one of the laziest examples of journalism seen in recent memory, USA Today managed to make a hero out of a criminal and further villainize an embattled cop who had arrested this criminal 16 years prior to his untimely death. On the front page of the country’s only national newspaper is a story that paints former Chicago Police Sergeant Ronald Watts as Denzel Washington’s character in “Training Day.” The heroine in the tale is state's attorney Kim Foxx, who’s handing out free cash to seemingly anyone ever arrested by Sgt. Watts. The only problems with this in-depth dive into police corruption are the half-truths and omissions. For the first time ever, Sgt. Ronald Watts will sit down to address the onslaught of allegations levied against him by USA Today and Chicago’s top political brass.
