So far I am pleased with the performance of the Boothby-modified-Hasler self-steering arrangement, but now I would like to get some numbers to back up my opinions. I present the first in series of tests, comparing the traditional Hasler with Boothby-Hasler. Wind and waves have subsided quite a bit, so I decide to pull out the sextant and take a few moon shots. Meanwhile our little ship continues to make her way southward toward Puerto Rico.
