After annealing (softening) the shoulder and neck of .308 Winchester brass, we can run .308 Winchester brass straight into a 7mm-08 sizing die to get 7mm-08 brass. It won't be quite ready to run; the necks will be too thick. Time to turn the neck down to a thinner band of brass.
