A DEDICATION - Billboards

This is a tribute to the Canberra Protest Rally on 12 February 2022 and a dedication to one man’s determination to make a difference.

Transcript:
This is a dedication to my husband Dwayne. I am so proud of my husband. He is an extraordinary man, an extraordinary husband and soldier. He gives one hundred percent to everything that he does, his family, his life and to his companion soldiers.

When Australia showed up on the doorstep of Canberra on the 12th of February 2022 it set a benchmark in our history. It was the biggest gathering of our people ever witnessed in Australia. It also ignited the flame in one man’s heart to do something, anything that might make a difference. Something that might wake the people up to the evil that was permeating throughout our world. A billboard, a simple sheet of ply, a can of paint and a paintbrush. Then thoughts of a man transposed and mounted on the roadside for all to see.

This man was not born a warrior. He chose to be one when he refused to stay seated. He chose to be one when he refused to back down. He chose to be one when he refused to comply. he chose to be one, because of not him, then who.

My husband’s dedication is loyalty to a cause, even when it seems that hope has long expired for a successful outcome. It is the unstoppable determination to win regardless of the odds and his unending faith in the Almighty God to lead us home to victory.

We live on a busy road in a Queensland country town. population 21,000. On March 6, 2022 the first billboard was completed and mounted on two posts inside our property boundary facing the road. We have been paid a visit by police and the local council, but the billboard still proudly stands.

We thank the many, many people that have called in to our home and left messages in our mail box to thank us for our courage, for giving them hop and the inspiration to keep on going, but most importantly, to know they are not alone.
