Vertical Take Off and Landing or VTOL is the manually controlled thrust capability that gives your ship more power and control when taking off or landing. Here in the Cutty line of ships, enabling VTOL will rotate the engines vertically downward. In a Constellation Series a number of flaps and panels open up to already placed engines that give you VTOL. Not every ship has VTOL. The ships that are less aerodynamic or large will have this.
