Question: What lab tests do you
recommend for cancer patients?
-C-reactive protein [CRP]
"If have elevated CRP when diagnosed
with breast or colorectal cancer, you
have a poorer prognosis"
-CRP originally was marker for cardiac
health
-checks inflammation at mitochondria
membrane level

Sed rate [sedimentation rate--ESR]
-measures how fast blood cells
fall out of solution
-if fast, good: smooth walls
-should be under 10
-higher number = higher inflammation

LDH [lactate dehydrogenase]
-most important test for
metabolic health
-part of Krebs Cycle
-if high = mitochondria are off
"Labs are based on average of
population.
You want it under 175 [Labcorp]
-under 450 [Quest]

If you test
-high for CRP [above 10 or .1]
-Sed rate above 10
AND
-have low LDH [under 160]
-check LDH isoenzymes
[could have erroneous LDH test]
"I look at these as a collective:
-mitochondria function, AND:
-metabolic, inflammatory, immune"
'Far more specific than any cancer marker or scan
