Rep. AOC suggests expanding federal EV tax credits to cover electric bikes during JTN interview

Democrats have argued that the $7,500 electric vehicle tax credits in the $740B Inflation Reduction Act would help Americans afford electric vehicles. Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, was asked if she thinks the $80,000 retail price cap for electric SUVs is too high. "I'd certainly like to also see an expansion into EV bikes as well and more affordability for lower tier options," she said during a Just the News interview Tuesday evening on Capitol Hill.
