Chinese 'Spy Balloon' targets India; Beijing operating fleet of 'snooping' airships | Report

China's "snooping bid" on India was made public just days after the United States shot down a "spy" balloon.China has operated a fleet of spy balloons targeting several countries, including India and Japan, according to a report by The Washington Post. U.S. officials have also briefed its allies, including India, on the findings of the Chinese surveillance balloon that was shot down by a fighter jet. U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman briefed officials from around 40 embassies in Washington about the "spy" balloon shootdown. The explosive report has rung alarm bells in India over China's snooping bid. The claims come at a time when India and China are locked in a border standoff.
