Greyhounds are one of the fastest animals in the planet and in 1876 the Welsh realised this, but it was not until 1910’s that the Americans took it to the next level and eventually it became an official sport, when in 1919, Smith opened the first professional dog-racing track with stands in Emeryville, California.
