The Power of Forgiveness: Darius Kawewehi's Life-Changing Experience

Darius Kawewehi, shares his story of overcoming a difficult childhood marked by physical, mental, and sexual abuse from his birth parents. Despite these challenges, he learned powerful lessons at a young age, including the importance of asking for help and being vulnerable, the danger of closing oneself off, and the benefits of forgiving those who have caused pain.
He joined the military and bought his first condo in Hawaii, but after realizing his desire for financial freedom and passive income, he pivoted to commercial real estate. He joined a mentorship program and learned the steps to build a real estate portfolio. Initially, he invested in residential properties but faced challenges, so he sold his condo and invested in commercial properties instead.
Dairius reflects on his experience with foster care and the emotional challenges he faced growing up. He attempted suicide multiple times but realized the value of his life and sought therapy. He reflects on his experience with adoption, his journey of forgiveness, and the importance of asking for help and being vulnerable.
He also acknowledges that reaching out for help earlier in life could have prevented his struggles from getting worse. However, he eventually forgave his parents and lifted the burden from his shoulders, which allowed him to live the rest of his life with an open mind and open arms.
He dedicated his life to serving others in his community and pursued a career in the military. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering and served on nuclear submarines in the Navy. Through his experiences and hardships, Darius has learned the value of resilience and determination, and he hopes to inspire others to overcome their own challenges.
