Cruising All Night
Emir Deodato and Steely Dan both contribute songs about cruising for today's Segue City Special as we glide through Hump Day... missed that new sitcom on TV last night that was showing on a bunch of different channels at the same time... "Liars Club" is what we think it was called - it was noisy and pigs were flying around the room... it reminded us of "Apocalypse Now"...
Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.
It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.
Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
