U.S. President Joe Biden tried to reassure Americans in his State of the Union speech, talking about the economy and urging Republicans to work with him to help support what he called the "backbone" of America: the middle class.

While he did encourage Republicans to work with him, he appeared to criticize some members of the GOP of trying to cut Social Security and Medicare, prompting some, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, to shout "liar."

Biden also introduced Tyre Nichols' parents in the audience and pushed Congress to help him in enacting police reform.
