At a news conference on Parliament Hill, Bea Bruske, the president of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC), urges the federal government to increase funding for pharmacare and mental health services, and bring long-term care into Canada’s public health-care system. She is joined by Larry Rousseau, executive vice-president with the CLC. The news conference comes as Canada’s first ministers meet in Ottawa in an effort to reach a federal-provincial agreement on health-care funding.
