The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco skyscraper in New York City, completed in 1930. It was the tallest building in the world until it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in 1931. The building was designed by William Van Alen for the Chrysler Corporation, led by Walter P. Chrysler. It is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture and has been a landmark of the New York City skyline for over 90 years. The building was sold in the 1950s and has undergone several changes of ownership and renovations over the years. It remains one of the city's most recognizable and iconic structures. #newyork #history
