Jesus said "what God has joined together, let man not separate...except for marital unfaithfulness" Matthew 19:3-9 NIV. Repeated adultery blatantly brakes the marriage vow and is cause for divorce. The Lord also said "but if the unbeliever leaves, let him so do. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances" 1 Corinthians 7:15 NIV.
