A highly anticipated aviation safety hearing is taking place on Capitol Hill this morning. It comes in the wake of unusual amounts of travel issues occurring, including the FAA computer outage that caused a nationwide ground stop, SW Airlines holiday meltdown, the two Texas plane crashes earlier this year, and now two near-miss incidents at U.S. airports.
