DaamnDailyReflection w/ DaamnKam 2-6-23 -‘Rallying the troops in Recovery’ ‘#HigherPower’ & ‘Sanity’

The DaamnTalk #RecoveryDiscovery blog is for Us addicts with co-occurring disorders & diseases! *@ 30 y/o, *nearly 2 decades ‘missed’-diagnosed, *13 page ‘criminal’ history report, *8 inpatient rehabs & *over a dozen jails- *totaling over 2 years of confinement… RECOVERY IS STILL POSSIBLE!!!!! Last year, after experiencing a seemingly random & utterly insane mental collapse of Our psyche, We were diagnosed with Schizo-E-disorder, a genetic mental-disability mimicking that of #Schizophrenia. The breakdown occurred just days after receiving an officer at Our door, with service of a perspective restraining order against ‘me’ & Our (then) 7-month old son, (via his mother).

•With nearly 36 months of solid, well-earned, (consecutive) #Recovery from addiction- Keeping Our mental health in check is no different from keeping Our disease in check! If Our #recoveryprogram isn’t all-encompassing then We’re leaving cracks in Our foundation!!! Part of what We’ve learned over 18 years struggling with this #Disease, by FINALLY incorporating ALL of ‘Self’ - into a Program - No longer denying or ignoring any of it! Our ‘Program’ - is - Our ‘Philosophy’! (‘The way in which one internally conducts themselves, *manner of approaching the external world, *set of ethics & morals that intentionally guide &/or unknowingly dictate one’s day to day & grand-scale existence.’)

Who knows what We may find out about ‘Self’!?
Who decides what’s actually best for ‘Us’!?

That’s why we’ve created #DaamnTalk (With 2 ‘A’s!) - to talk openly & freely amongst one another - discussing the things generally avoided due to ‘stigma’, ‘controversy’, or ‘political correctness’… Because BOTH of Our diseases thrive in dark, quiet solitude! DaamnTalk: Take a Daamn *trip
Ever noticed one ‘gets High’ - to ‘elevate’ … mood body and mind …. The words we use have very particular origins-
What does one do when one goes on a trip(?). One plans the trip- packs, maps out the road - & I don’t know, maybe has a destination in mind ? I understand sometimes the trips about the journey - but would there are consequences of embarking unprepared ….
All trips have outcomes …. Would you get in your car and joy ride all day tomorrow (?) (my point is it’ll cost about $6.50 a gallon and it’ll take about 2 tanks worth - or $65 🤷‍♂️
