Has the internet helped uncover a horrifying scam?
Recently, the internet has been shocked by the revelation that TikToker Madison Russo scammed over 400 people out of $37,000 in the most horrendous way.
Madison claimed that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer.
Shortly after announcing this, she began to document her treatment, and it wasn’t before long that a Go-Fund-Me was set up in her name to help cover the costs. But some keen-eyed medical professionals noticed some life-threatening inaccuracies in the way she was using medical equipment and made an anonymous statement to the police.
Following this statement, Police obtained a search warrant for her apartment and found a mountain of evidence that proved the internet's theories to be correct; Madison had been faking cancer the entire time.
