Today I woke up to find that a catastrophic earthquake of 7.8 magnitude struck Turkey and Syria. I saw images of vast, horrific devastation. Buildings collapsed everywhere. More than 100 cities and town were leveled.

And other video footage of multi-storied buildings actively falling down around people who were running for their lives. Thousands are dead, while many more thousands are trapped under the rubble alive. There are thousands of men, women and children wounded, crying, and severely traumatized.

Immediately I contacted one of my dearest friends who lives in Cyprus. She said she and her son were okay, but they all felt it. I saw an article that said the Syrians were on their knees praying to God while the buildings were falling down around them. They thought it was judgment day. A journalist said, "the after shocks felt like Armageddon."

After I had prayed for her and was about to hang up, she said, "Joanie, the Holy Spirit spoke to me while you were praying. I do not want to tell you what to do, please understand. But He wants you to pray for us, for Turkey. He wants you to make a video where you pray." I knew it was the Lord.

So I made this video where I am calling all of the people of the true and living God to gather with me in prayer for all the people in Turkey and Syria. I do this in obedience to our Loving Savior. Who loves us with an everlasting love, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

He is waiting for us. "I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord."

"Learn to worship God as the God who does wonders, who wishes to prove in you that He can do something supernatural and divine." ~ Andrew Murray
