More than 2,300 people have died in Turkey and Syria after a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey early Monday, injuring thousands more across both countries. The toll is expected to rise as rescue workers and residents frantically search for survivors under the rubble of crushed buildings in cities on both sides of the border.
