Australia Bans Cash Transactions over $10k, Bitcoin exempt!

Australia plans to ban cash transactions for amounts over $10k AUD ($6900USD).
This reflects a worldwide crack down on cash use, and is a huge violation of financial privacy. It also forces people to use the banking system, pay bank fees, and trust banks with their financial data whether they want to or not.

Draft legislation of this ban has just been released, and it exempts cryptocurrency. Can cryptocurrency save us from having all of our purchases tracked and recorded?
