MYSTERY SOLVED BY TREASURE FIND

Last weekend, a find was made of what was called a "treasure" in the 20th century. This put an end to the years-long search by the distant great-grandchildren of Folkert and Nancy Janssen(s) who had come into possession of some documents, tape recordings and photographs indicating their great-great-grandfather's intention to entrust this "treasure" to the ground.

On a sandbank near the island of Vlieland, an expedition consisting of distant relatives of the 20th-century-born Folkert Janssen(s) salvaged a "treasure". The sandbank was located where the nature reserve "De Vliehors" was 500 years ago. Over the centuries, the island moved 6 kilometres westward.

The "treasure" found consisted of many thousands of metal discs with different imprints, probably used in ancient times as a means of exchange. The value, estimated at 700 pin units, will be distributed after auction to the residents of Mars Centre, who have organised themselves into the planetary society "The Red Cross" as instructed by Mr Folkert Janssen(s) through a notarised letter.
