BREXIT - RICHARD DRAX MP - The Refendum

The British people -and most Europeans -- have never had say in their entry to a Federal Super State. Prime Minister Gordon Brown ( not elected by the people but appointed by the governing Labour Party) reneged on his promise of a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. Present prime Minister David Cameron ( who promised in his election manifesto to hold a referendum on staying in the EU) also reneged on his promise claiming that we had referendum in the 70s. That referendum was a yes/no answer for STAYING in the COMMMON MARKET which we had already been signed up to without a vote! The Labour Party was in opposition at that time and backed a vote to LEAVE the Common Market. Tony Blair is quoted opposing the U.Ks membership of that trading agreement.
