Episode 20: Did the Prophet (SAW) Recite Only 1 Verse in a Rakat (Unit) of Prayer?

Shaykh Uthaymeen responds to a student's question regarding what is mandatory to recite in prayer. As is the way of the scholars, the response is enlightening, informative, and far more beneficial then what was expected. Also Abu Hurayrah's advice about this same issue, collected in Sahih Al- Bukhaari and Muslim, and Sahih proofs of four different verses that the Prophet would recite, iindividually, each in one rak'ah of salat. The take away: Quality of recitation, and prayer, trumps quantity!
