Yeah, so I and I kind of chart the influence of utility think of economic science really diverts with the Wall Street Crash and the Great Depression. and you see the development of what I call the book two strands of anti-utilitarian thinking. but two strands still incorporate utilitarian ideas into their thoughts. So what is Keynes's model. which takes a kind of majoritarian aspect of utilitarian thinking placed at the center. so basically how do we try and ensure on some level degree this happiness at the greatest number of people and so that's the bill a kind of strong interventionist model in the economy that that that becomes the BS of you know Social Democratic states big welfare states post second world war social democracy so on and so forth. and on the other hand, there's a kind of Hayek end for Friedrich Hayek-inspired anti-utilitarianism. which takes the individual aspect of utilitarianism over the individual over the majority. and situates that that is at the heart of a kind of philosophy of society. and these two anti-utilitarian stances are kind of in competition through the kind of mid-20th century. the Keynesian models kind of won until the 1970s and they're kind of an economic social crisis of the 1970s. where then the neoliberal form of utilitarianism emerges kind of Victorious and becomes the kind of the basis of a new kind of hegemonic block politically through people like Reagan the Thatcher and economically through the kind of ideas of Institutions like IMF and the World Bank and so on and so forth. and this becomes the governing logic of the world that we might have.
