2/4/23 Torah #16 - Are God's People Ready for Battle? Exodus 13-17

God led the Israelites coming out Egypt away from the fortifications that would have led to conflict, even though they had weapons. They were not yet ready for battle--they might change their mind and return to Egypt.

Too many of God's people may have the weapons of our warfare, may have the armor of God, may have the Sword of the Spirit--but they too are not ready for battle. Because we are disconnected from the past moves of God and thus have a hard time believing Him for moves in the future or that we can really be a part of it.

Neither do we realize that the enemy is going to be coming after us and trying to pull us back under his influence. We need training in God's ways, experience following unusual orders. We need to trust in His provisions, and even His provision of Rest.
